Both designs float when dropped in the water, and are easy to attach while still offering a superior watertight seal. Our VCP Oval hatch is compatible with the Valley Canoe Products (VCP) oval hatch when mounted on an injection molded rim bolted/glued to the deck; not recommended for rotomolded kayaks that do not feature this rim
